Potty Training

Potty training my 3 year old daughter is definitely a challenge. I remember with my son it was so much easier! However, I started trying with my son before he was 2 and I was home all the time. I think trying earlier, rather than waiting until they're 3 or so, is a lot better. For one, they aren't in that stage where they want to do everything you don't want them to do and they'll listen to you more. They're also happier to please you at a younger age and you won't find as much opposition. I have also learned that "pull ups" really don't do anything except cost more and aren't worth it until they're actually regularly sitting on the potty and you need something for the sitter's if you don't stay home yourself. Otherwise underwear works best since they actually know they are wet and are more likely to not want to go in their pants.

I've also learned that Windex is the best cleaner for messes! It works on everything and takes the stain right out. Another plus is having two options for potties: The little potty and the potty seat for the big potty. Sometimes she wants to sit on the little potty and sometimes on the big potty.

Overall, it's been a challenging 2 weeks and I'm exhausted but I've learned you can't give up, because it takes more than a day or two to potty train. I'm determined to get it down, and I have a lot of regrets for not doing it sooner!
